5 AUG 2018 · Narcissistic Abuse Survivors, having been devalued and discarded by a Narcissist, after being a (primary) source of narcissitic supply is devasting and often debilitating. And, just when the Survivor believes that the Narcissist will never been seen or heard from again—not after infamous“Final Discard”... Generally, a Narcissist will already have secured(or be actively seeking to secure) a primary source of supply before he disgards the current primary source. During this phase of the devaluation of the (current) primary source of supply, the Narcissist, seemingly, will be on his best behavior IF he senses that HE may be discarded first. That causes a “shock” factor when he is in a new relationship and/or gets married within days, weeks, or months after discarding his (former) primary source of supply. After flauting the “new supply” all over social media, introducing her to family, and friends, and is seemingly the happiest he's ever been in his life. Often times, “the new supply” will actually act as a flying monkey, joining in on the smear campaign of the ex(without no personal knowledge of her, other than what the Narcissist has told her, as he was love-bombing and idealizing her). And, then after ghosting the former source of supply, via silent treatment—he texts or calls “out of the blue”. I explain in this episode, how that becomes the “Post Final Discard” Trap and why.
