16 MAR 2020 · Well my dears, we're stuck. COVID-19 has got the world on lock-down. I asked you, dear listeners and followers, which songs make you feel nice. So, this episode is chock full of niceness to soothe your worried minds. When I recorded this, I had a cold, but have since recovered. Take care out there, call your Grandma, take a walk, and breath deep. We'll get through this! xx - Madeline

  • S03 Episode 32 - Disco F*cks! + Millennial Line

9 MAR 2020 · Disco F*cks! You've probably heard the phrase "disco sucks!" thrown around when people start talking about disco or macho rock culture from the 70's. Disco is rooted in black and latinx culture and music, and was huge in gay nightclubs, so, the hatred of disco was wrapped up in racism and homophobia. This hour, I wanted to offer a shout out to disco new and old! Cause Disco F*cks! Millennial Line! Millennial Line is a comedy and poetry event that takes place at Red Gate Art's Society on the third Thursday of every month! It is organized by Tin Lorica and Savannah Erasmus, and Savannah called in to talk about their next show on March 19th. Follow them on socials! • S03 Episode 26 - for Elissa

7 JAN 2020 · This episode is dedicated to the memory of Elissa Barclay. This is an excerpt from a letter written by her sister, Adèle Barclay in the Elissa Barclay Memorial Fund GoFundMe: https://ca.gofundme.com/f/elissa-barclay-memorial-fund "Music saved my life and my sister's life when we were young teens growing up in small town Ontario. I want to make the life-affirming experience of music available to as many youth as possible. Since Girls Rock Camp is a Registered Non-Profit and not a Registered Charity, I (Adèle Barclay) will collect the funds and make the donation in Elissa's name in February 2020. Please join me honouring the memory of my dear sister and helping the young ones make the music they need to make to live." RIP Elissa, Nov. 7, 1980 ~ Nov. 20, 2019
