  • Navigating Healing after Sexual Trauma

    13 APR 2024 · "1 out of every 6 American women has been the victim of an attempted or completed rape in her lifetime while only 25 out of every 1,000 rapists will end up in prison." Welcome back to another episode of Chronicles of a Virgo Podcast. In light on Sexual Assault Awareness month, I will be delving into some raw parts of my healing journey and speaking on some lessons and realizations I learned along the way. In this episode, I discuss: -How acknowledging my pain and hurt from my sexual trauma enhanced my healing journey -The benefits that addressing my sexual trauma in therapy had on my life and the main lessons that I learned along the way -The process of self-forgiveness and learning to forgive my abuser and how it helped my healing -Encouragement and words of affirmation for other survivors or anyone else carrying a heavy load or experiencing bumps in the road Opening up about my own personal experiences with Sexual Abuse has been both scary and empowering as I found different ways to navigate my past and the impact it had on my life.   • Break Free From the Negativity & Silence Your Inner Critic

    6 MAR 2024 · Welcome back to another episode of Chronicles of a Virgo Podcast. Have you ever found yourself constantly expecting the worst, or feeling like nothing you do is ever good enough? Or do you find that it is always easy to support others around you, but you can never find the same motivation for yourself? Although these feelings are normal and in some cases the effects from trauma and negative preprogramming, these things can be changed for the better and we can live the life we deserve. In this episode, I will take you on a journey of a few strategies that I have been recently implementing in my life that has allowed me to draw in some huge manifestations so far this year as well as ways you can begin to dismantle the negative thoughts that have been holding your prisoner in your mind. It is important to keep in mind that everyone's healing journey is different and it's not always an easy fix especially when you have been locked into a specific programming for so long however with time and patience positive change will happen. Every small step count towards a brighter mindset and a more fulfilling life. I will also be discussing some exciting news in regard to the podcast and a brief life update! She is also a graduate of Rutgers University and Rutgers -New Jersey Medical School (formerly UMDNJ). She completed her postgraduate residency training in Psychiatry at the Zucker Hillside Hospital (formerly of NorthShore-LIJ) in Queens New York.
