6 JAN 2024 · Tonight we’re in Jefferson Township NJ, and we’re taking a ride on the campfire time machine and going back to 1988, on a cold and dark winter night in January for a case that seems like it could only come out of a horror movie. Imagine sleeping peacefully in the start of a new year and you have all these plans and goals you’ve set for yourself and then you awaken to smoke alarms going off. Imagine waking up to a house in a blaze. Much like long Valley, We are visiting another quiet town deep in the woods of Jefferson Twshp where what happened would be referred to as the Satanic Panic and would leave a dark cloud hanging over it. Welcome to the campfire; grab your s’mores, and grab a seat, Thanks for joining me tonight around the fire, where we discuss the dark world of true crime. • Episode 29 - A Christmas Murder: Innocent of Guilty

23 DEC 2023 · This Christmas eve is anything from Merry. A furniture store has 4 murders, 1 surviving victim or 1 survivor claiming to be the victim of an attempted robbery gone wrong. A gas station across the street is also robbed hours after the furniture store murders take place which plays a small part in this case, but doesn’t have the spot light. So on Christmas eve 1975, Tommy Ziegler is charged, convicted and sentenced to death for the 4 murders of his wife, his in-laws, and a customer of his furniture store. So the end, right? We can all continue to drive to our destinations wherever we’re spending Xmas this year, and having Xmas dinner.? Sure, if that’s how you feel, but if you want to dig deeper, and pull those blinders off and take another look at this case and investigate it more than the original investigators did back in 1975, then gather around the campfire time Machine, as we travel back in time. I had time to add a flux capacitor to the fire pit so we can travel back in time with the campfire time machine, to 1975 where we look at 4 murders, an alleged attempted robbery, and man who’s been sitting on death row for 47 years and up until this year has been denied DNA testing of all 326 + pieces of evidence in hopes to prove his innocence, something that He has claimed since his initial arrest in 1975. This is the Campfire Crime Chronicles, a true crime podcast, and this, is the case, of Tommy Ziegler.
