  • #3 'If It Wasn’t For Art, Life Would Be Just a Grey Scale': Orlando Marosini and Jack Trodd from Brushes With Greatness Gallery

28 JUL 2022 · Join me in this episode as I talk to Orlando Marosini and Jack Trodd from Brushes With Greatness Gallery. Orlando is a Hungarian artist based in Zurich whose colorful, energetic art, full of life and goofy characters has recently been appreciated by the London audience is his first international solo exhibition curated by, you guessed it, Jack! The duo is full of positive energy and it was a pleasure to meet them and have a wonderful chat (to read the story of how we met by chance really, head to the podcast's social media). Jack is a London-based curator who has created Brushes With Greatness - both the gallery and social media pages that have been a place of amazing art appreciation. Having the drive of helping emerging artists and supporting them with their art journey, he has partnered with Orlando to create the LATE NIGHT LAND-O experience, accompanied by discussions with other artists, immersive events and collaborative work. You may hear some spray painting and can rattling in the background - the grand opening of the exhibition was happening in the gallery right after we finished recording and Sam, another great artist, was just adding some final touches. The episode will definitely bring a smile to your face! IG @brushes_with_greatness IG @orlandomarosini IG @breathofart__podcast FB @breathofartpodcast

  • #2 'You Can’t Completely Let Yourself Go When You Are The Minority': Jessica from 2Bornot2B Collective

29 JUN 2022 · In the second episode of 'Breath of Art' I am joined by Jessica, one of the founders of the 2Bornot2B Collective. Tune in as we discuss some very important topics regarding the art community and diversity within it. 2Bornot2B Collective is a social enterprise, which organizes in person and online life drawing classes aimed at uplifting underrepresented communities and bodies in art. The Collective, which gathers models and members from minority, POC, indigenous and many more marginalized communities, aims at creating a space for everybody to find themselves represented in art and to meet likeminded, supportive individuals. Throughout the episode we mention topics ranging from the arts being often a privilege for certain socio-economic groups and what that looks like in the UK, to the impact of social media on 2Bornot2B and the silver linings that the global pandemic brought to the community of the Collective. It is a very valuable discussion, a lot of eye-opening reflections and personal thoughts from a wonderful person and artist that is Jessica, so I highly recommend you listen to the whole episode and share your views with us! • Intro: Take a Deep Breath... of Art.

15 MAY 2022 · Hi everyone! My name is Kaja and I am really passionate about the arts, especially musical theatre. Anyone who knows me personally has heard me hum show tunes, talk about the theatre for hours or has been kindly asked to accompany me on a yet another wonderful theatre trip :)). I've always wanted to create a space to talk about this passion of mine. In my daily life I study a scientific degree and, even though science and art may at first seem like two ends of a spectrum, I strongly believe they belong together. Because of that I keep joining my two areas of interest whenever possible. If you would like to hear me talk about what the arts mean to my fantastic guests and me, join our artistic journey in the 'Breath of Art' podcast. A place of kindness, laughter and reflection, where everyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. See you soon, but for now... Keep taking deep breaths... of art.
