Dr. Beattie’s passion lies in providing quality, holistic mental health care that involves assessing all aspects contributing to each unique individual’s mental wellness. You are the person who knows you best and will ultimately be the one responsible for change in your life. Dr. Beattie will partner with you to provide tools to assist you in that growth and change. The tools used in the journey toward healing may include psychiatric medications, complementary and alternative therapies, nutrition and lifestyle changes, and individualized counseling. Dr. Beattie will collaborate with your other health supports to help you maximize all resources for wellness. Dr. Beattie received a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Iowa in 2010 and went on to obtain a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Iowa in 2012. She completed training involving adult and pediatric populations in a variety of mental health settings. She is registered with the State of Iowa Board of Nursing, State of Iowa Board of Pharmacy, and credentialed with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Dr. Beattie has been working as a psychiatric nurse practitioner since 2010. Prior to her specialty training, Dr. Beattie practiced as a registered nurse for 8 years with 6 of those years in acute mental health care.
