  • Lailatul Qadr And The Last 10 Days of Ramadhan

21 APR 2022 · السلام عليكم ورحمة اللّه وبركاته بسم اللّه الرحمن الرحيم الحمدللّه Below are some precious points you may wish to ponder upon from the Sohbah last night: 1) Which two deeds are allowed to give intercession/shafa'ah or to complain against us, on Judgement Day? 2) How many times did Imam Shafie عليهم السلام khatam al-Quran each Ramadhan? 3) What strange phenomenon occurred to the Companions عليهم السلام who read so much Qur'an? 4) I still can't read Quran, so what can I do to get the blessings of having Khatam the Quran in Ramadhan? 5) When Jibrail عليهم السلام visits with his entourage of special Angels on LLQ (Lailatul Qadr), why do they not enter certain homes? 6) Elaboration on the things that must be clean always, especially on LLQ - mouth, body, clothing, prayer place and heart. 7) Every follower of Iblis will enter Jahannam. What is the only way to be safe from Iblis' tricks, traps and fitnah? Grandshaykhق reveals the secret, the one deed that will guarantee eternal safety. 8) How is it that when we do good, it is from Allahﷻ, but when we do evil, we are to blame? An explanation to show us that this is so true. 9) What is the difference between the dates/kurma eaten at Suhoor and at Iftar? 10) Best times not to be missed, for making do'as in Ramadhan? 11) Allahﷻ has hidden Hisﷻ Pleasure in good deeds. Which smallest of deeds, saved Imam Shafie عليهم السلام and Imam Ghazali عليهم السلام? 12) Elaboration of what Rasulullahﷺ did in these last ten days - iktikaf, no spousal intimacy, staying up all night seeking LLQ and making the Do'a of LLQ. 13) Last night was the 21st night in Makkah, Medina, Cyprus, Turkey, Syria and the Middle East. Yet it was the 20th night for Asia. So in seeking the odd nights of LLQ, do we follow the Middle East or Asia? 14) What, should people of Faith be very afraid of? • The Night of Nuzul Qur'an

17 APR 2022 · Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem We had a Khatam Qur'an on the night of Nuzul Qur'an, followed by a meaningful Suhbah on the lessons of this blessed night. YouTube video of the Sohbah. Points covered include: 1) the Muslim community not treasuring their own priceless ukhrawi gifts; instead they are jealous of, and striving for the worthless duniawi gifts given to unbelievers, worth less than a mosquito's wing. Therein lies the sad state of the Ummah today. 2) The need for iktikaf/seclusion for a seed to germinate. No one changes unless having a period of self-reflection. 3) Was Rasulullahﷺ a student or teacher to Jibrail Alayhi Salam? Answering a question by a mureed. 4) Humility is the first step to acquiring true and beneficial knowledge - admitting to oneself that 'I do not know... ' 5) Guidance only begins with a teacher, a guide. Whoever does not have a Murshid, his real teacher is shaitan. 6) Loyalty to one's guide is paramount for one's progress in Tariqah. Just as a wife will not desire or share herself with another man, a mureed is only attached to his Shaykh. The Sohbah also explains why it is very dangerous to seek spiritual healing and lessons from outside our Way. 7) What is the sign that our repentance has been accepted? Do watch the video above to hear the answers and elaboration to these points insyaAllah.

  • Value of Time in Ramadhan

If only you could see the wicked hanging their heads ˹in shame˺ before their Lord, ˹crying:˺ “Our Lord! We have now seen and heard, so send us back and we will do good. We truly have sure faith ˹now˺!” (Surah As-Sajdah 32:12) Every soul shall for certain, taste death. For most people, it brings forth unsettled affairs and an uncovering of incomplete duties. As quoted in Surah As-Sajdah above, doomed are those who at death, awaken to an eternity of unbearable difficulties, for having neglected the purpose of this fleeting life and compensating for it, in the afterlife. A great heaviness awaits those whose graves, instead of being restful places, are pits of eternal regret and the beginning of atonement for all unfinished business. Hence, the Holy Prophetﷺ said that curses befalls the one who reaches to Ramadhan, and received nothing from the Mercy and Forgiveness of Allahﷻ. As a person can only be duly formed once, in the darkness of Mother’s womb, cell by cell, until he is ready for live on Earth, so too will a person, exclusively be able to build and make preparations for the hereafter, while alive on Earth. There is no way one can return to the womb to receive corrections for any deformation and there will also be no course of returning an unprepared soul to rectify mistakes, for the Akhirah. In the afterlife, every difficulty is insurmountable and every pleasure unfathomable, in comparison to this life. Therefore, as Mawlanaق has reminded us numerously, take what is remaining of this Ramadhan seriously, and put in the best effort to, at the very least, sincerely yearn for Allah’sﷻ Mercy and Forgiveness. Beg to be shown our mistakes, to rectify and settle all our incomplete affairs and debts before our time comes to move on to the next Alam. May Allahﷻ grant us to be amongst those to receive Hisﷻ Divine Forgiveness this Ramadhan and to be in Hisﷻ Pleasure, as the fortunate, Prepared Ones passing on to the Akhirah.

  • Know the Value of Ramadhan

7 APR 2022 · Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem When Sayyidah Aisha (RadhiAllahu anha) asked the Prophet ﷺ “O Messenger of Allah, if it is Laylatul Qadr, then what should I supplicate with?” He ﷺ replied, “Allahumma, innaka Afuwwun Karimun, tuḥibbu al-afwa fa‘afu anna” – “O Allah, indeed You are Pardoning and Generous; You love to pardon, so pardon us.” Ramadhan is known as a month of forgiveness. A tremendous opportunity to seek Divine Mercy and, to ask and grant forgiveness, amongst ourselves, opens in this blessed month, in hope of earning Allah’s ﷻ Pleasure. It is also a month of good fasting, where believers restrain from all that displeases Allah ﷻ externally and internally. Mostly, Ramadhan is known as, Shahrul Qur’an, the month of the Holy Quran. In it, our Beloved Prophetﷺ recited the Quran in its entirety and twice in the last Ramadhan before hisﷺ passing, with Sayyidina Jibrail Alayhi Salam. Ramadhan and the Qur’an are inseparable. It will appear either as a source of intercession or, Allahﷻ Forbid, a curse for the believer, on Judgement Day, favouring those who have understood and esteemed its Divine Value, as the honourable month bearing the final revelation of the Holy Book of Allahﷻ. Abstaining from what is forbidden in the Quran and upholding its laws are the people who will see it come as an intercessor for them in the hereafter. Allahﷻ has made this easily attainable for the Ummah by weakening obstacles and removing Seventy Veils, except one, which prevents us from being with Himﷻ. The one hijab left is for us to work on removing, steadfastly with the ibadah of fasting, reciting Quran, Zakat, Zikrullah, Tawbah and giving Ramadhan its highest respect as the month that will bring one closer to Allahﷻ. There is no other month like the Sultan of all months. Mawlanaق said that Ramadhan is the most special month of the year, as in it believers increase their worshipping and in turn, gain the gift of closeness to Allahﷻ. Therefore, mureeds must strive to fully submerge into the Abundance of Ramadhan, emerging cleansed, as a servant worthy to be granted its Shafa’a. May we be raised as those who honour Ramadhan and the Holy Quran, attaining its intercession on Yaumul Qiyamah.

Prophet Sayyidina Muhammad (s) said in a sahih hadith, “ad-deenu naseeha” – “Religion is advice.” Religion is not a lecture for a scholar to give and go. It is advice, and advice doesn’t come except through experience. Advice cannot be theoretical.

Sayyidina Shah Naqshaband said, “tariqatuna as-suhbah wal-khayru fil-jam`iyya” – “Our tariqat is association, it is keeping company, sohbah, association, and the best of the gathering is in coming together.” Or it can be said, “Our way is guidance, and the best is in association.” Without association, without advice, there is no way to benefit.

🌹 KINDLY NOTE: The recordings in this podcast are initiated and personally documented by student attendees of Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Adil Ar Rabbani, the 41st Leader of the Nasqhbandi Aliyyah Sufi Order, in Singapore.
