Stephanie Riseley's life is filled with more exciting challenges than a summertime thriller. For instance, at 19 years old, she almost died, but had a classic Near Death Experience. She saw the golden light and then got "pulled back" into her body - somewhat against her will. After 4 years in and out of hospitals, and still in massive pain, she realized that Western medicine was killing her, so she was forced to find an alternative way to heal herself. But she did it. In her mid-20s and 30s, she worked as an actress in New York City, drove a cab in Manhattan for seven years, and lived to tell about it. In the mid-80s, she worked for UCLA's Neuropsychiatric Institute, and did research that became the Diagnostic Statistical Manual III. After that, she went to UCLA's School of Film & Television, and landed a writing job at Walt Disney Studios. At the age of 42, after years of people asking her why she wasn't married, Stephanie finally met the love of her life, and ladies? He asked her to marry him on the 4th date. Romantic, yes? Unfortunately, he died in her arms 12 years later. But that's why she's here on our show. She's written a wonderful new book called "Love From Both Sides - A True Story of Soul Survival Sacred Sexuality," and it tells the story of his "coming back" to her and connecting from the In Between. Stephanie's also a Certified Hypnotherapist, and has a private practice in Los Angeles. She trained with noted psychiatrist Brian Weiss, M.D.
