Would you like the Postal Service to become your local banker, too? That idea has been floated by its inspector general.
The idea is the struggling service could produce needed revenue. And the network of offices would be needed in underserved areas like core cities and rural areas.
Critics wonder why adding more services would work. And why would a bank want to partner with the Postal Service?
So we asked members of our Email Interactive Group for their take. Some felt it makes more sense to bring back the pony express. Others are more optimistic.
