Host Sean Lennon welcomed Women’s Atomweight "Maquina Asesina" Katie Perez to The Fightlete Report. She recently defeated Brenda Enriquez by Rear Naked Choke in the 2nd Round at Mountain Force MMA. She competed in HFC last February as well and is now 2-1.
She trains at Team Phoenix Combat Fitness in Greensboro NC.
She talked about your recent victory over Brenda Enriquez by submission, Campaigning to fight in Invicta FC next, how far she's come since her first couple of amateur fights and how they built her confidence, reaction to the new Atomweight Champion who was crowned for Invicta this year in Alesha Zappittella, why UFC needs to add the Women’s Atomweight Division, what can we expect in her next fight. This was a fun interview to learn more about the mind of an up-and-coming women's fighter in between fights, definitely looking forward to doing more of these!
