Described by one guest as “Flint’s best day”, the last Saturday in August means it’s the CRIM Family of races, and this year the 10-mile start line is brought to us by our friends at Consumer’s Energy. On this week’s show, we share all the info you need for this exciting event, plus what it means for the Flint community.

We start off the show with Rafael Turner, Consumers Energy Community Affairs Manager for Genesee, Saginaw, and Shiawassee counties. Consumers is excited to be this year’s 10-mile race start line sponsor, and proud to be involved on many levels for this important community event. Rafael not only shares the role that CE plays on race day, August 25, but also throughout the year. He’s a Flintstone, born and raised, so he’s got tons of insider tips for the CRIM races, as well as where to get a great coney.

This segment aired as part of a Behind the Mitten show August 5 and 6.
