My father fought in the Korean War. He passed away in 1989 and as these vets pass on – we are losing their stories. Library of Congress Veterans History Project’s mission to collect, preserve and make accessible the first-person remembrances of United States military veterans for future generations. VHP is actively seeking Korean War veterans ’recorded oral history interviews, original photographs, letters and other correspondence to be archived and made accessible for future generations. I speak to Monica Mohindra, Director of the Veterans History Project (VHP) of the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress.
