Whether it comes to consumerism, media, food, education, and community- Holly Young questions what is normal and gives intentional thought to every decision she makes for her family. In this podcast, she and I have a thought-provoking conversation that left me thinking about the way I live my own life and how I am conditioned socially. (Spoiler alert- we are all victims of this!)

Listeners might be surprised (or not) to know that Holly comes from a very religious, midwestern conservative home where conditioning started from a very young age. Her father is a church pastor and both parents were both public school educators for 30+ years. Her dad was also her high school vice principal. Despite this upbringing, Holly is going to clue us in on the vision she holds for her and her family that is very different from how she was brought up. They are in the process of selling (almost) everything they own to move to the other side of the Earth!

Holly is an online personal trainer and vegan nutrition coach. Find our more about Holly in her linktree here, or on her and her husband Shawn's youtube channel, Island Time Adventures.

Here is a link to the book discussed in this epsiode, "The 4-Hour Workweek," by Timothy Ferriss.
