The gradual warming of the southeastern United States has invited an influx of creatures that previously couldn’t have survived there. Wildlife officials in Georgia have recorded their first encounters with an invasive species of hornet that threatens local honeybees. At the same time, a non-native catfish has been found in the state’s rivers and a cannibalistic frog previously found only in the Caribbean has been discovered in Georgia’s trees.
