Unbelieving Believers with Pastor Chuck Brookey. Thomas in the Bible is famous for requiring to see the nail marks and the wound in Jesus side in order to believe in the resurrection. His Hebrew name was Thomas, but His Greek name was Didymous, which means "twin". It seems as though there were twins within Thomas, just like in all of us - The twins of faith and unbelief. But a doubled-minded man is unstable in all his ways (Jas. 1:8). Faith doesn't come by seeing miracles. Faith works by love (Gal. 5:6), and the hearing of the Word of God (Rom. 10:17) trusting in the one who made the promises, who cannot lie (Tit. 1:2; 1 Jn. 2:25).
