On Tuesday, a judge ruled that Donald Trump had committed fraud over the course of many years while constructing the real estate empire that ultimately propelled him to fame and the White House. Consequently, he issued an order for the removal of control and dissolution of some of the former president's companies. This ruling came in the wake of New York Attorney General Letitia James's commitment and campaign promise to hold President Donald Trump accountable. Following several unsuccessful criminal referrals on the same matter, Attorney General Letitia James opted to sue the Trump Organization, with the case presided over by a Democratic-appointed judge. Notably, Trump was not granted a jury trial in this case. This appears in many people's eyes as yet again another political persecution.
