Kirstin reviews the Indian Wells Ironman 70.3 in La Quinta California that she competed in this past weekend. It was a race with some ups and downs as many of them are. Kirstin had some PR’s, and nailed hydration and fueling. However, she still battled the heat out on the run and experienced some frustration on the run as this very hot race season comes to an end. We also cover the signs and symptoms of the start of thermoregulation issues, to heat exhaustion and heat stroke. If you know the signs and symptoms as an athlete you can catch them before they turn into a more serious issue, and you may be able to help out a fellow athlete as well. We also talk about the long term consequences of heat injuries and how long it can take to overcome them.
