The DAR should be ashamed. The organization was founded before women had the right to vote. It was founded because the men of SAR refused to allow women entry into their organization who also wanted to honor their fathers' and grandfathers' service. The women of DAR have done amazing volunteer work helping veterans, women's shelters, children, schools, homeless, and so much more. An organization of women, led by women, should be fighting hard to protect the rights of biological women. Instead, DAR has a leadership that willingly rolled over and acquiesced and made themselves subservient to the demands of men. Our patriot ancestors are rolling over in their graves grabbing their muskets. As a member of the DAR, I can no longer respect the politicization and direction of the DAR. I WILL NOT pretend a biological man dressed as a parody of a woman is a female. I will not pander to mental illness and I will not pretend the biological man is a Daughter. With more than a decade as an actuve member, I will be resigning
