Why the rush? Serious question from someone who supports funding Israel, helping Ukraine, and passing a better, compromise immigration bill. Why have all three complicated issues been bundled together? Why not hold separate votes on each huge expenditure? Why not hold public hearings? Why was the so-called immigration compromise kept secret for so long? Why the rush? Perhaps a bit more transparency and less elitism would have led to a better result?
