Melanie is a Licensed Physical Therapist for 26 years. She is trained in Myofascial Release, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Therapeutic Yoga, and Pilates Melanie is Currently working on a doctorate from UNC Chapel Hill with a focus on pain science and the use of Mindfulness Programs (inspired by John Kabat Zin) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to treat chronic pain. Melanie Completed her 200-hour YTT with Ananda Yoga in California in 1999 and teaching yoga in various forms since that time. She is a Lifelong “Yogi” but loves to explore how spiritual concepts are also established in scientific research.
