The Violence Against Women Act is up for reauthorization in 2019. This reauthorization needs to be based on the latest surveys and scientific research. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control conducts an annual survey called the National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey (NISVS). The telephone survey asks about Americans' experience with domestic violence. Everett Bartlett, the President of the Coalition to End Domestic Violence, will join me to discuss if The Violence Against Women Act should be reauthorization.
