Story Transcript:

Hu: Budapesten, a Duna partján, egyszer volt egy nő, Katalin.
En: Once upon a time in Budapest, on the banks of the Danube, there was a woman named Katalin.

Hu: Katalin nap mint nap, reggelről estig dolgozott egy szürke irodaházban.
En: Katalin worked in a gray office building from morning till evening every day.

Hu: Ámde ennek a megszokott életnek meg volt a maga titka: Katalin mindig is süteményboltot akart nyitni.
En: However, this usual life held a secret: Katalin had always wanted to open a pastry shop.

Hu: Egy napon Katalin úgy döntött, hogy elég volt.
En: One day, Katalin decided that enough was enough.

Hu: Felállt az asztalától, elköszönt a főnökétől, Istvántól, és elment.
En: She stood up from her desk, bid farewell to her boss, István, and left.

Hu: "István, én ma felmondtam" - mondta, és büszkén lépdelt ki az irodaházból.
En: "István, I quit today," she said proudly, striding out of the office building.

En: On the opening day, Katalin's breads and pastries were enjoyed by the entire city of Budapest.

Hu: Az emberek szerették.
En: People loved them.

Hu: Az első nap végeztével Katalin boldogan nézett végig boltján.
En: At the end of the first day, Katalin happily surveyed her shop.

Hu: Azonban nem minden volt sima.
En: However, not everything was smooth sailing.

Hu: Megjelent István!
En: István appeared!

Hu: Ő nem volt boldog Katalin sikere miatt.
En: He was not happy about Katalin's success.

Hu: Egy perccel sem habozott, hogy szembeszálljon vele.
En: Without hesitation, he confronted her.

Hu: Váratlanul bejelentette, hogy ő is süteményboltot nyitna, és versenybe szállna Katalinnal.
En: Unexpectedly, he announced that he would also open a pastry shop and compete with Katalin.

Hu: Katalin ijedten nézte Istvánt, de nem ijedt meg.
En: Katalin looked at István in fear, but she did not falter.
