In this video, Rob shares the secret to becoming profitable as a clothing brand. When you start a clothing brand - your costs are going to be relatively high. The reason for this is that you will likely not be ordering high quantities when sourcing your goods. When you're starting a clothing brand, you will have to go through a phase of having a relatively high cost of goods until you're brand is able to reliably move enough product. There is a slight exception to all of this for print on demand clothing brands because they do not require significant upfront investment. The catch with print on demand businesses however is that you lose massive amount of control over sourcing, quality checking, and shipping times. Many print on demand clothing brands switch to carrying inventory because their print on demand service is ruining their customer experience due to slow shipping times and mistakes with orders.

After all of your expenses (inventory, shipping, advertising like Facebook and Instagram Ads, supplies, promotional items, etc) it can be very hard to manage your clothing brand to be truly profitable. The secret is to lower the cost of goods as you move more volume.
