10 Hebrew Names of God that Recognizing Who God is, His Attributes and His Qualities. And the Power and Privilege and Promises associated with His Name.

1. The Name God Identifies Himself as God is Elohim. This is the First Name for God that appears in the first passage of the Bible in Genesis 1:1: "In the Beginning God Created the Heavens and the Earth.

When you pray to Elohim, This is the Ancient Name for God, it Means: God, Mighty Creator.

Elohim is the great name of God, displaying His supreme power, sovereignty, and faithfulness in His covenant relationship with you.

‭2. Yahweh means “The Lord” – Yahweh is derived from the Hebrew word for “I AM,” it is the proper name of the divine person, coming from the verb which means to “exist,” “be.” ‬

‭Because His name carried much awe and honor. He said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, The God of you fathers has sent me to you, and they ask me, “What is his name?” Then what shall I tell them?” God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites, “I AM has sent me to you.” Exodus 3:13-14 ‬

‭God’s name, Yahweh, is one of authority. It is one that holds great power, and says to all who hear, “I AM the One, true God, follow me.” God is still the “Great I AM,” for He never changes. We can trust His loving leadership in our lives, just as Moses did. He calls us for his specific purposes, reminding us that He knows our way and He has a plan. ‬

3. The LORD Will Provide – Jehovah Jireh. Yahweh Yireh. The Hebrew word ‘raah’ is the word which Jireh meaning "To See" comes. In Genesis 22:13 – 14 it is Translated As "Provide"

God sees the future as well as the past and the present, He is able to anticipate and provide for what is needed. You are praying to the God who sees the situation beforehand and is able to provide for your needs.

God will provide for our needs. Every one of them, He is faithful, He is able, nothing is too difficult for Him.

4. The LORD is Peace – Jehovah Shalom. Shalom in Hebrew has a much richer meanings than the English word “peace,” which usually refers to the absence of outward conflict or to a state of inner calm.

To live in the presence of God through the power of the Holy Spirit is to be at peace—at peace with God, with others, with ourselves. No matter how turbulent our world becomes, we can be at peace, showing forth his presence regardless of circumstances.

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.- IsaIah 26:3

5. The LORD Will Provide – Jehovah Rohi (The Lord Is My Shepherd)

The Lord himself takes care of your total well-being as His lamb, for you are a child of the Lord.

Jesus is the chief Shepherd who knows you and you know him. As your good Shepherd he keeps you from straying, protects you from thieves and scorpions and circuits and all the power of the enemy, and provide you with plentiful pastures. The One who watches over you day and night, feeding you and leading you safely on the path of righteousness.

THE Lord is my Shepherd to feed, guide, and shield me, you shall not lack. ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭23:1‬‬

I am the Good Shepherd; and I know and recognize My own, and My own know and recognize Me–John ‭10:14‬

6. The LORD your Healer – Jehovah Raphe (The Lord your Healer) He is the One Who preserves you and, as well as heals your disease. He restores your soul. Psalms ‭23:3‬

Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals ALL your diseases, Psalms ‭103:3‬ and with the stripes that wounded Him YOU are healed and made whole. Isaiah ‭53:5‬

He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.1 Peter ‭2:24‬

7. The LORD Your Righteous – Jehovah Tsidkenu (The Lord your Righteousness)

He makes you righteous, God sees you as blameless in His Sight.

The Lord Leads You in the Path of Righteousness for His Name’s sake. Psalms 23:3

For your sake God made Christ virtually to be sin Who knew no sin, so that through Him you might become viewed as being in, and example of the righteousness of God, what you ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness. 2 Corinthians ‭5:21‬

8. The LORD Who Sanctifies –Jehovah-M’Kaddesh. The God separate from all that is evil requires that the people who follow Him be cleansed from all evil.

The Lord Leads You in the Path of Righteousness for His Name’s sake. Psalms 23:3


9. The LORD Who is my Banner –Jehovah-Nissi. The God separate from all that is evil requires that the people who follow Him be cleansed from all evil.

This is the name of God that proclaims His protection, leadership, and deliverance for His people. Just as God brought divine protection for the Israelites against their enemy, the Amalekites, He offers us protection and deliverance today from the enemies you may face in this life.

I do not ask that You will take them out of the world, but that You will keep and protect them from the evil one.
‭‭John‬ ‭17:15‬ ‬

The LORD Jesus Christ Who was begotten of God carefully watches over and protects you, Christ's Divine Presence within you preserves you against the evil, and the wicked one does not lay hold, get a grip on you or touch you. 1 John ‭5:18‬

10. The LORD Who is There – Jehovah-Shammah. God's presence is with you wherever you go. He is There.

Jehovah-Shammah is present with you NOW. “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? I Corinthians ‭3:16‬

For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.” 2 Corinthians ‭6:16‬

THE LORD IS THERE!! God is already in your tomorrow. He already knows what your future looks like and He has complete control over it.

He walks with you into whatever tomorrow holds because of His great love for you. God is THERE in your tomorrow.
