What is Yoga? If you Google the definition you will find that yoga is a Sanskrit word meaning "union", "yoke", "connection". A connection to what; a union with what; and the yoke, what does that mean exactly?
I have spend the last 25 years of my life practicing yoga in some shape or form. However, 3 years ago I embarked on an incredible journey at the age of 50 to certify myself as a yoga teacher. Lead by a beautiful soul, surrounded by women who in their own right were all my teachers. The journey; indescribable, rewarding, painful, expanding, surrounded and supported our group of souls took a journey of breath; one at a time.
And so you ask yourself what does this have to do with my owl? Allow me to share a story the helps bring the meaning of yoga through the eyes of shaman and an owl.
