Jayson Boyers and Joe Darrah interview Peggy Natiello '52, an alumna best known for her work as a person-centered psychotherapist who works with groups that are often in intense conflict and for her collaborations with the late Carl Rogers, one of the most influential American psychologists.
We speak with Peggy about the concerns she has today regarding a deep divide that is impacting this country, how invasive technology and the pandemic have contributed to this problem, and the role that civil discourse can play moving forward.
We also discuss the optimism that she has in younger populations, namely today's college students, who have the opportunity and the potential to create a more creative future for all of us through a person-centered approach to conversation.
