The Impending Eagles Offseason (PST Show #301)

The Philadelphia Eagles offseason is here, and in a matter of time, Howie Roseman will be altering the talent on this team as it pertains to free agency and the NFL Draft. How will various positions be addressed in the coming weeks and months? Joining us this week to get into is Michael Kist, contributor at BleedingGreenNation.com and cohost of the Kist & Solak Show on the BGN Radio podcast. For you Eagles fans, it's a great interview you won't want to miss!

Plus, this week we dove into some ongoing storylines concerning the Sixers. Joel Embiid is now out due to a knee injury, and we look at how Tobias Harris has impacted this team in a short period of time. (3:30)

From there we got into a discussion about the Flyers most recent trade. It was goalie for goalie. Cam Talbot was acquired, and the Flyers sent Anthony Stolarz packing. (12:10)

This week on the Highbrow Segment, we asked the question, do the Phillies really want to win this year?  Andy MacPhail's press conference this past week didn't necessarily inspire confidence for wanting to "win now", and Bryce Harper is still waiting in the wings. How much does the team truly want to contend in 2019 from what this front office has said in recent days? (18:05)

Then on the Lowbrow Segment, we each talked about three players in Philly sports history we held out hope for, we vehemently defended, but then we finally came to the realization they were complete and utter busts. (30:35)

What we're throwing down on the Table this week is an in-depth interview with Michael Kist from Bleeding Green Nation about this impending Eagles offseason. We first dove into position players and groups the Eagles front office may look to target, especially the running back position, which is a clear need for this offense moving forward. From there, we discussed the offensive line, specifically Jason Peters' future and how the Eagles decision concerning his future will impact the rest of the line. Moving into draft talk, the guys talked in detail about safety and defensive line prospects the Birds may look to target. Plus, should the Eagles actually look to draft wide receiver help for Carson Wentz this year? All of this and much more this week on the Table! (51:15)
