Coach C", as she is so respectfully called by her players, has been an inspiration to many softball players through her 20+ years of coaching. She has developed numerous athletes into top players at the collegiate level. Coach C has trained and coached all age levels, instilling a great work ethic in them.

Chenita Rogers–Edwards played her collegiate freshman and sophomore seasons at Sacramento City College in 1984 and 1985. In her two seasons, Rogers-Edwards set the standard for the Panthers record books. As a freshman Rogers-Edwards stole 43 bases which is the third-best all-time in that program's history, and 12th all-time in CCCAA history and by the California Community College Fastpitch Coaches (CCCAA) Association to the 2015 Softball Hall of Fame Class and the Sacramento City Hall of Fame ClassAs a sophomore Rogers-Edwards put together one of the finest offensive seasons in State history batting .608 with 51 stolen bases. Her .608 average is 1st all-time in Sacramento City College history, while her 51 stolen bases are 2nd all-time in program history. After two seasons at Sacramento City, Rogers-Edwards moved on to California State University, Fullerton where she helped lead the Titans to the program's only NCAA National Championship as a junior. In her senior season, the Titans returned to the NCAA Championships, finishing third. Rogers was a two-time All-American for the Titans in 1986 and 1987, and hit .365 for her career (which ranks third all-time in school history). A two-time All-College World Series selection, Rogers led all players with a .438 average in five games at the 1986 College World Series with seven hits and a pair of RBIs.

Chenita is also the manager of the Student-Athlete Program for the National College Resources Foundation (NCRF). The purpose is to help develop the Student Athlete Program (SAP) that engages, empowers, and educates student-athletes to become successful at the collegiate level while preparing them for everyday challenges academically and athletically. In addition, assists in developing the student-athlete into a full-rounded player, building a healthy mental mindset, and understanding the steps it takes to be recruited at the next level.
