In the woods of eastern Oregon lies the rich Crescent Mine, which was shut down 80 years ago by tragedy and superstition.
Current owner Larry Overman, a Texas oilman with no mining experience, was determined to reopen the mine. But the first crew of miners he brought in was scared off and he was running out of time and money.
In comes a new crew lead by grizzled veteran Stan "Papa Smurf" Griffith. This strong-willed and superstitious group of miners will face the day-to-day challenges of mining, aided by the paranormal investigators who unravel the mysteries surrounding the mine, including historic Masonic connections and a spirit who has been known to haunt the area for generations.
We will be talking with those paranormal investigators - Kristen Luman and Patrick Doyle.
Luman began her research into the paranormal field while attending Portland State University, where she graduated with a focus on paranormal psychology. Kristen conducts field experiments regularly and is dedicated to discovering what’s real and what's imagined.
Patrick Doyle has been fascinated by the paranormal since he was 7-years-old, when he came face-to-face with a shadow figure and, instead of running away, went towards it. Patrick invents his own ghost hunting equipment, including the RIPA, a cutting edge, remote-controlled device that can collect data from locations deemed too dangerous for Patrick and Kristen to enter.
