Suzan Solomon joins me to discuss and explain how the local education system works and how politics affect our schools.

Suzan Teri Solomon was first elected to the Newhall School Board in 1999. She was re-elected in 2003, 2007, 2011, and 2015 to serve her fifth term in office. Her children attended Old Orchard Elementary School where Mrs. Solomon became involved in the PTA, site council and local school district committee work, thus providing a strong foundation to pursue the next level of leadership – school board trustee.

Mrs. Solomon ran for the Newhall School Board to ensure the community a voice in educational policy and community issues, as well as to create policies and programs that maximizes the learning opportunities for all students and supports professional development for teachers, administrators and support staff.
