Suffolk County Sheriff Steve Tompkins says he made the decision to terminate the county contract with I.C.E. earlier this week to make room for roughly 200 to 250 incarcerated women and rehabilitative programming. He says the change is about saving lives and is not political. I.C.E. Boston says they are very disappointed.
