This is especially true if you are a woman who makes up her mind according to wedge issues, like opposition to abortion, gay marriage, or gun laws. To support Republican candidates who most espouse those positions, you may have to GO AGAINST YOUR INNER DESIRE for candidates to be more decent, honest, and concerned for others. That can hurt you.
