Garry Bettman is in town talking with the NHL Seattle folks today. He spent some time talking with the media about what's next for the development of the team, and the league in Seattle. For anyone not old enough to have been around when the Sonics, Mariners, and Seahawks were being developed, it's a unique experience to watch a franchise being constructed from the ground up in this town. Now that the Seahawks season is over, it's time to start looking ahead to what the Hawks can do to take the next step. Dick asked Twitter how they'd feel if they knew Tre and Shaq were the starting corners next year. The confidence wasn't overwhelming. Dustin Ackley is likely coming back to the Mariners. ...Really? From this, to Ichiro being on the roster in Japan, when was the last time the team did something that didn't make you snicker?
