This is an age old question in the real estate industry, and the answer really is simple: It depends on you. Generally, the longer you plan to stay in an area and the more money you have saved up, the better off you may be making a home purchase. And on the opposite end of the spectrum, if you like to move around and change scenery every couple of years, and you only have enough money saved for deposits, renting may be best. This doesn't consider investment properties, however, which we will cover in a future episode!
