Shudder has been one of my favorite streaming platforms over the last few years. They consistently release wonderful new horror films and independent features I probably wouldn't see anything else. They also feature these lower-budget films on their main page - making it more likely that I'll actually see them.
One of the films I saw because of this is SLAPFACE.
I had the pleasure of chatting with Jeremiah Kipp about where he started, his career trajectory, and diving deep into why horror films have become such an important expression of art. We also discuss where the idea for Slapface came from and how the process of working on his own film differed from being a "hired gun" on other projects.
