The Hair, Pop Metal, and Glam scene of the 1980s was at it's height by 1987 and David Coverdale, lead singer and founding member of Whitesnake, was swinging for the fences. And with the release of the self-titled Whitesnake album in 1987, Coverdale and the boys hit a grand slam selling over 8 million albums! With radio hits such as "Here I Go Again", "Still of the Night" and "Is This Love?", Whitesnake became a household name along with MTV playing a trilogy of videos featuring the late video vixen Tawny Kitaen dancing and doing cartwheels and splits on top of Jaguars.
