Sweden’s Sandra Wörding has established herself as a leading Director of Photography in the male dominated world of sports photography. In 2021 she was named the Sports Photographer of the Year and is regarded as the top female sports camera operator in the world. Sandra was born in 1981 in Dalarna, Sweden to Elisabet and Mauritz Lindström. She has an older brother Marcus and younger brother Martin. Sandra played a variety of sports as a child although not ice hockey but she began filming the sport at the young age of 16. She quickly adapted to the nuances of anticipating a fast paced sport and regularly found work either on the ice or on the ski slopes. From 2017 -2022, Sandra attended Bergklint Education to become a Personal Trainer and Lifestyle Coach. She then studied Photojournalism at Mittuniversitetet in Sundsvall graduating in 2005. Sandra covers a wide variety of sports and in the winter this involves enduring long hours on the ski slopes, filming Nordic sports such as biathlon and of course ice hockey. She lives in Timrå with her two daughters Isabell and Amanda.
