Rudi was born into a family who knew she was destined for music. Her grandfather passed away right before she was born, and her grandmother was convinced that Rudi was her grandfather reincarnated. Rudi's grandfather was a talented Mariachi musician and the only other singer in the family. Rudi also loves mariachi and Spanish music and it's how she stays connected with her heritage. Rudi's parents own a body shop where she and her four siblings work. Rudi has struggled to find her place at the shop and feels that she's meant to be a performer. Her first performance was at age 2 when her mom handed her a mic at a kid's expo and she sang "How Do I Live" by LeAnne Rimes. As a teenager, Rudi won a radio competition and performed a duet on stage with the band Boys Like Girls. Now, she's writing a lot of her own music and wants to perform.

ABOUT THE VOICE

The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" returns as Queen of Country Reba McEntire claims her red chair alongside last season's champ, Niall Horan, and returning superstar coaches John Legend and Gwen Stefani as they vie to discover and coach the next singing phenomenon.

The show's innovative format features five stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts, Playoffs and Live Performance Shows.

This season, the block returns to the Blind Auditions, and during Battles, each coach will have two steals to use. The Three-Way Knockouts are also back. This time, however, artists will select their own songs to perform.

Once the Live Performance Shows begin, the top artists will compete against each other weekly during a live broadcast. This time, the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. In the end, one artist will be named "The Voice" and receive the grand prize of a recording contract.
