For over 28 years Beverly served as a MUFON Field Investigator in Iowa. - with also an intense interest in the paranormal since the mid-1960s. In the 1990s she finally allowed it to be known that she is also an “experiencer,” that she’s had encounters with ETs since early childhood – which, at her age she points out, harks back many decades. This led to her speaking on the subject of encounters when invited by media and at various gatherings/conferences in Iowa and around the country. She also taught 34 series of UFO Adult Education classes for the Des Moines, Iowa School District for many years, beginning in the mid-1990s, until the school district actually shut down their entire adult education program in 2019. Her interest in the PARANORMAL and the exploration of consciousness eventually led to The Monroe Institute, where on six different occasions she was privileged to attend their 5-day residential programs, geared toward the exploration of consciousness.
As an investigator, she’s always been front-line oriented, having investigated hundreds of cases, many of them “encounter” cases. She considers interaction with witnesses as beneficial on a reciprocal basis – that is, BOTH the witness and the investigator learn.
In July, 2020, Beverly decided to leave MUFON and simply become an Independent Researcher
