Welcome to This Edition of RiversZen Today for Wednesday, December 12th, 2018

The news of the day: So how are you doing with your holiday planning? Are you feeling stressed or prepared? Are you fretting or are things under control? Are you one who agonizes over every single gift or are you spontaneous in your selection. Don’t forget, your gift doesn’t always need to be a thing. In one respect, don’t hate me for this; but, does your list need to be as long as it is? I’m not being a Scrooge or a Grinch here, just asking a tough question. Many budgets are compromised and when it comes to the holidays many go overboard. Once you have determined your list is appropriate in length, does anyone on your list need more stuff? We are a country that loves their stuff, right. Telling too much about me right now; but I am so done with stuff. After downsizing for the second time, I don’t want any more stuff. What can you give that won’t qualify as stuff and soon be in storage? What are some of the things your recipient does or what kinds of things do they buy regularly that you could buy for them? I know it may sound cold to give a gift card . . . but how cool for them to remember you every time they go to the store for groceries or gas. Maybe your gift is a meal with you either at a restaurant or prepared at home, together. Maybe you commit to going for a walk with them on a regular basis. I know those require you giving up a block of time out of your already busy schedule and that is certainly not an appropriate gift for everyone on your list. We all need to slow down and spend more quality time with the people in our lives as well as evaluating our own personal time. If you would like help creating a custom gift from RiversZen feel free to contact Dave, Kim or Peggy. They will be happy to help you create a gift certificate or gift package specific to your wishes. All of which will make your recipient very happy you thought of them.

If you have questions or info to share with the group, feel free to post them at RiversZen Online Community on Facebook or email us at info@riverszen.com or text or call 503-440-3554.
