In both chapters, there is also a focus on the judgment that will come upon these entities. In Revelation, it is said that "God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast their power to rule, until God's words are fulfilled" (Revelation 17:17). In Jeremiah, it is said that "Babylon must fall because of Israel's slain, just as the slain in all the earth have fallen because of Babylon" (Jeremiah 51:49). In conclusion, there are several parallels between Revelation 17 and Jeremiah 51. Both chapters describe a powerful and corrupt entity that will face judgment and downfall, and both emphasize the role of God in bringing about this judgment.

comparison between Revelation 17 and Jeremiah 51. In both chapters, there is a focus on a "great prostitute" or "great harlot," which is a symbol of a powerful and corrupt entity. In Revelation, this is referred to as "Babylon the Great," while in Jeremiah, it is simply "Babylon." Both of these entities are portrayed as being involved in spiritual adultery and having a negative influence on the people. There are also similarities in the way the two chapters describe the downfall of these entities. In Revelation, it is said that "the beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute," and they will "bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire" (Revelation 17:16). In Jeremiah, it is prophesied that "Babylon will suddenly fall and be broken" and that "her time is near at hand, and her days will not be prolonged" (Jeremiah 51:8).
