In Jeremiah, it is said that "Babylon must fall because of Israel's slain, just as the slain in all the earth have fallen because of Babylon" (Jeremiah 51:49). In conclusion, there are several parallels between Revelation 17 and Jeremiah 51. Both chapters describe a powerful and corrupt entity that will face judgment and downfall, and both emphasize the role of God in bringing about this judgment.
