In this episode, our guests, Caitlin and Adam Heaps, will take you on a journey of where they as a couple have been in their lives. From early beginnings and early passion to all the lessons that they have learned, this is one to keep close because it shows up as a mirror to so many things that we navigate as couples. They were thrown into a more responsible life when Caitlin got pregnant and they decided to get married to raise a family together. They ran into a lot of issues and sort of lost sight of that which brought them joy in their relationship, eventually having some frank conversations and discussing how they could get back to a more happy place.

“He was going out into the world and collecting money for us and coming home, and I would be sitting there like a puppy dog at the front door like, the house was clean and dinner was on the table, and it was like ‘Praise me.’ and he was like ‘Praise me. I’ve been out gathering.’ And so we were puffing our chests to each other, like look at what I’m accomplishing, and there was no fun. There was no joy. We were just so stuck in those roles of what it was supposed to look like.” 12:38
