Crystal Alexis was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, where she attended Richards Career Academy. While in school she aspired to become an accountant, however she earned a degree in Automotive Technology and several certificates in Pharmacy Technology and Bill Collecting. Crystal spent a few years as a manager at Jiffy Lube. After years of reading and running a book club she grew a passion for developing stories of ordinary characters that have had exquisite journeys. In 2013, she signed with Creative Flow Publications and penned several novellas including Social Deception I and II. Recently, Crystal Alexis signed with K. Ellis Publications and is now part owner of SWAG Productions. She is also the co-host of Gossip Village Radio, a platform to discuss various topics about society. As of now, she is working on several projects, which are set to release this fall.

Though Crystal's greatest pride comes from being an outstanding mother to her two children, Tres'ore 8 and Jalil 7, and being a caregiver for her mother, she would say that writing has changed her life!
