There are several important topics discussed in this episode including a short segment on the cicadas, an alternative effective way to know when a tornado will hit your area, a new color coded system that will be used this Summer by the National Weather Service and mentions the upper limit of heat that the human body could endure.
In this episode we discuss an intense but short lived 3 day heatwave over South Texas, Mexico and to a lesser extent other parts of the Gulf Coast. This heatwave is from Tuesday - Thursday May 6th - May 8th 2024.
In this episode we read a little from The "Washington Post" which discussed record warmth from Mexico to Southern New England.
This episode also discusses an updated system that the National Weather Service will be using to publicize heat dangers.
This episode discusses some of the heat indices and very dangerous Wet Bulb Globe temperatures that are occuring in Southeastern Texas.
This episode discusses the way to measure wet bulb temperature which is slightly different from wet bulb globe temperature. It should be pointed out that the way to measure the dew point is a little different than wet bulb temperature (it is a mistake to say that they are the same, this is a correction from what was mentioned in this episode).
