Today in episode 47, we’re going to look at what an early Christian worship service looked like. We’ll also discuss some core reasons why their services had such a drastically different approach as modern services of the 21st century. And finally, we’ll look at why the early Christians were so effective at reaching the world for Christ without having the material resources that we rely on today. This show contains a significant amount of quotations from the early Christians, so I pray you’ll be as blessed and challenged as I was when I first encountered these ancient words.

Satan copies everything of God and twists it. So many of the evangelicals I have known are staunchly anti-communist. Well I'm not a communist and reject that political system totally BUT... there seems to be an attitude of pride and lack of mercy that goes along with that. I know e evangelicals who have practically made the verse in Thessalonians that "if a man will not work, let him not eat" their life verse and blame the poor for the problems in our country. I pointed out the context and how it concerned people who thought Christ was coming back and stopped working. It doesn't apply to people who can't find jobs or the working poor. This person has not spoken to me since then. How far from the attitude of Christ. I'm praying God will change me and lead me to the fellowship where He wants me.

This was an important message and got me thinking... how did we fall so far... I agree, but must admit that I am part of the problem. Seems we have an "every man for himself" mentality and somehow we've convinced ourselves it is scriptural. Are almost all of us in the U.S. Laodicea?
