Bittaker and the other one never should have been out of prison to commit those murders.

Thank you for featuring Beth-Ellen, of course so much was left out due to time constraints of a pod cast and limited information on the internet about her case. The fact that the BF showed up when her car was found is a huge deal as her car was on a dead end side street not visible from the belt line hwy. Since it took a week to find her body, the boyfriend went back to his Mt Olive parents home and spent a week on the sofa and cleaning his car. The narrative that he was her BF was from his perspective not anyone else's. Rick and his brother Brian shared the appartment with others who were away on summer break. College was to start back in just a couple weeks and Beth knew she could only stay there during the summer break. She had only been there the 4 weeks leading up to her death/summer break. Beth-Ellen had no interest in dating she wanted NY and to get back and study with Mr Hines. All her clothing was in the car as if she threw it all in there in a hurry. As if she was either going back home or heading to NY. Rick and his brother agreed to let her stay there on the sofa to help pay the summers rent. The brothers worked at a poplar hangout for college kids, the brother Brian was working that night and came in at 3am and provided a alibi for hia brother. The car sales man actually found the car at 7am not 5:30. 1 news paper printed the story to read 5:30 and evweyine else followed suit. Beth Ellen would have NEVER pulled her car over for someone she didnt know. It is my belief Rick followed her and her not knowing the area turned down that dead end side road. The dogs did pick up her scent, it lead them to the edge of the road as if she was put in a car and driven away. She was murder not far from where her vody was dumped. It is thought the boxes were possibly old moving boxes, not from the industrial area. No handwriting analysis was ever done on the letters to see if the stepsister, stepmother, or any of Rick's family wrote it. Yes I am bias. This case is coming up on it's 30th anniversary and remains unsolved. LE screwed this case up by not checking Rick's car, by not questioning Beth-Ellen's friends that were still underage. She was found less than a half mile as a bird flies from her car yet they couldn't find her for 7 days. LE did try to silence this story. RALEIGH is the home of several large colleges and school was about to start back, they did not want this case in the headlines. They rarely even mention this case on it's anniversary.
