Masquers paid for the construction, but now, we have to stay afloat for possibly another year before we can perform like "normal." We can't just sit around and wait, and begging is exhausting. Providing a service within the government-accepted protocols seems best.

And if you live up the hill, you'll have bayside property soon enough.

I know, me too. I feel like since we live in a place that has good weather for moving activities outside, we are lucky in that way for now

BTW, the Cerrito is pretty awesome. Comfy table seating and pizza.

Bay Street is a recipe for creating a mass shooter. Absolutely horrible place.

I like Northgate too. I even like Hilltop in the morning! The one theater I wouldn't go back to is the UA in Berkeley.

If I got information that the airflow of places was going to be improved at a lot of places, that would be helpful. I just don't want to spend hours in a room with stale air that's not being cleaned well, you know

@Amanda - yes, I hear you. I went on a reconnaissance research mission last weekend. I drove to San Rafael to go to the movie theater. I went to Century Northgate. I felt very safe. I was never close to anyone except when I bought my popcorn and drinks (which were DIRT cheap)
The matinees at the Century Regency in San Rafael was never close to 25% before the pandemic, so I actually would consider that. I miss those more than anything.

Even though I am not in the high-risk group I am still careful for a handful, I heard on PBS that the airflow/circulation with new, outside air and wearing masks are important. The indoor things makes me nervous

Masquers is *thinking* about operating as Movie House (17-20 per screening). Trying to decide if it is right and folks are willing?
COVID precautions, electrostatic sanitization, all the COVID things
