Ronaldo Linares (Chef Ronaldo) was born in Medellin, Columbia. He grew up around violence from the Drug Cartels in the area. The most noteworthy was the Medellin Cartel. If it doesn't ring a bell this will "Pablo Escobar". That was the Columbian Drug Cartel Pablo ran and that caused incredible violence. Growing up in this kind of environment can be incredibly detrimental to your development not to mention your health.
Ronaldo Linares and his family made their way to the United States where he grew up in New Jersey. When he got out of high school he joined the Marines. After serving this country honorably he came back home and ran a restaurant with his family. He is also a published author who wrote "Chef Ronaldo's Sabores de Cuba: Diabetes-Friendly Traditional and Nueva Cubano Cuisine".
Ronaldo Linares (Chef Ronaldo) has lived a very interesting life and It was a pleasure interviewing him.
