On this episode we’re going to spend some time with television sports announcer Al Michaels and Alan Williams, ½ of the creative team behind a podcast dedicated solely to the 60’s Pop band The Monkees.
First Al Michaels. Just over five years ago he put him thumb prints on the pages of a new book titled YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS UP. In his words it covers it all; the thrilling victories, the agonizing defeats and all of the fantastic inside stories including the surprising birth date information he received from Charlie Hustle.
Alan Williams is no stranger to the past and present history of The Monkees. In 2017 I sat down with him at a Panera Bread. Mainly because I was with what was turning out to be the next generation of Broadcasting. Podcasting has turned childhood wishes and dreams into physical broadcasts that reach around the world. Not everybody is a Monkees fan. Yet a lot of everyday people know who they are. Alan Williams has teamed up with another collector and Monkee follower to create one of the most dynamic shows bouncing off the walls and back onto this giant big blue marble.
