Tonight- Six members of a Detroit police narcotics unit have been suspended after a surveillance video captured them taking away a box they never logged as evidence during a raid on a suspected drug house in 2011. These officers are believed to have been involved in other dubious raids on cannabis distribution centers in Detroit in recent months.

 

Have abuses by drug task forces become rampant in Michigan?

 

Joining us tonight will be the founder of Michigan Moms United, Charmie Gholson, an outspoken critic of the war on drugs, and civil asset forfeiture-

 

Also joining us will be attorney Jeff Frazier, who was one of the Pro Bono attorney's for ACLU of Texas during the racially motivated Tulia drug bust case, which resulted in over 300 innocent prisoners freed and the Texas Regional Narcotics Task Force System dismantled- Jeff is now residing in Michigan.
